Ivanka Pens Op-Ed for The Wall Street Journal

BY IVANKA TRUMP

From Ivanka: "Political reporters love to speculate about my role in my father’s campaign. By various accounts, I’m a pundit, a surrogate, a top strategist and a potential running mate (that one was interesting!). We each have diverse political views and neither my site nor my company is, or ever will be, politically inclined. Over the course of the last year, my team has remained laser-focused on our mission of inspiring and empowering women who work—regardless of party affiliation. Today, I wrote an Op-Ed for The Wall Street Journal (If you don’t have a subscription to the Wall Street Journal head to our Facebook page for the full article) outlining my thoughts on some of the major problems facing parents—and proposed solutions. Take a look and let me know what you think. I’d love to hear your feedback on how we can support one another. Whether you’re working in the home or out of it, we’re all women who work.

Phyllis Schlafly: ‘The Sweetheart of the Silent Majority’

BY NATIONAL REVIEW

Phyllis died with her pumps on,” one of her close friends told me last night. Indeed, Phyllis Schlafly was in the arena fighting for conservative causes to the very end — when cancer claimed her at age 92 yesterday. Just last month, she was on the floor of the Republican convention in Cleveland ensuring the party’s platform remained pro-life. Her 21st book, a rousing defense of Donald Trump’s presidential campaign, is being published today. She was for many a leading symbol of the conservative movement in America. A 1982 biography called her “the sweetheart of the silent majority.”

Refugees Given Solace in America Bring Lawsuit for Not Getting the School They 'Deserved'

BY IJR

Over the last several years, refugees have fled Syria and other middle eastern nations in the hopes of building lives. Many hope to eventually make it to the United States. Since the crisis began, over 1,000 refugees have settled in the small community around Lancaster, Pennsylvania. But some refugees are taking issue with the way they have been accepted into the community -- particularly with the school at which some have been placed. Fellow Refugee, Khadidja Issa says "The class moves too fast and I don't learn anything." The district maintains that age and education level are the primary criteria for determining which school students will attend -- noting that Issa is older than most traditional high school students, but has only a 6th-grade education.
