Trump team touts $8 billion Bayer investment

BY THE HILL

German-based Bayer AG has committed to President-elect Donald Trump that it will invest $8 billion in American research and development as part of its deal to acquire Monsanto, Trump's transition team said Tuesday. Incoming White House press secretary Sean Spicer told reporters that Bayer will also protect all of Monsanto's 9,000 American jobs while creating an additional 3,000 high-tech positions in the country. That agreement, he added, came after Trump met with CEOs from both companies last week. In a joint statement, the two companies said the new jobs will focus on ways to "drive future innovation in agriculture" with positions like geneticists, data scientists and engineers. The companies added that the investment will go to both Monsanto's St. Louis headquarters and other parts of the country. "The United States is a global leader in agriculture, and the combination of Bayer-Monsanto will underscore that role and ensure the United States retains a pre-eminent position as the anchor of the industry," the statement said.

The new investments cover multiple new vehicle, advanced technology and component projects. A combination of 1,500 new and retained jobs are tied to the new investments. Details of individual projects will be announced throughout the year. “As the U.S. manufacturing base increases its competitiveness, we are able to further increase our investment, resulting in more jobs for America and better results for our owners,”  said GM Chairman and CEO Mary Barra. “The U.S. is our home market and we are committed to growth that is good for our employees, dealers, and suppliers and supports our continued effort to drive shareholder value.”

ROGER STONE SURVIVES ASSASSINATION ATTEMPT

BY INFOWARS

The renowned Republican operative says he’s usually very healthy, but became violently ill unexpectedly several weeks ago. “So I ultimately went to the doctors - my own personal physician. They conducted extensive blood tests. Those blood tests were passed on to CDC.” Stone told radio host Alex Jones. “The general consensus is that I was poisoned,” Stone says. “I was poisoned with, they now say, a substance that may have been polonium or had the characteristics of polonium. This made me exceedingly ill.“ Polonium-210 is a radioactive substance that releases extremely harmful alpha particles throughout the body producing cancer-causing free radicals. It has been used in numerous high profile assassinations, including that of former KGB spy Alexander Litvinenko, and was suspected in the death of former PLO leader Yassar Arafat.

Inappropriate Sexual Conduct

BY THE DAILY BEAST

Give me a break - With three days to go before his inauguration, Donald Trump is being sued for defamation by a woman who accused him of sexually inappropriate conduct, according to attorney-to-the-stars Gloria Allred, who announced the lawsuit at a press conference this afternoon. Summer Zervos, a former contestant on season five of The Apprentice, first came forward in October to accuse the GOP nominee of sexual assault. Following her short stint on the reality show, Zervos said she approached Mr. Trump about job opportunities in 2007, but instead of being offered employment, Zervos claimed, Trump groped her. “Ms. Zervos was ambushed by Mr. Trump on more than one occasion,” the complaint states. “Mr. Trump suddenly, and without her consent, kissed her on her mouth repeatedly; he touched her breast; and he pressed his genitals up against her. Ms. Zervos never consented to any of this disgusting touching.” lol

Lockheed Martin CEO Marillyn Hewson talks to reporters in the lobby of Trump Tower in New York, Friday, Jan. 13, 2017, after a meeting with President-elect Donald Trump. Evan Vucci AP

BY MCCLATCHY

Lockheed Martin CEO Marillyn Hewson met with Donald Trump in December. Hewson made another trek to Trump Tower and the meeting appeared to be favorable for the F-35’s future — and Lockheed’s thousands of employees in Fort Worth. “We had the opportunity to talk to him about the F-35 program" Martin said. “In fact, we are going to increase our jobs in Fort Worth by 1,800 jobs, and when you think about the supply chain across 45 states in the U.S. it’s going to be thousands and thousands of jobs,” Hewson said. “And I also had the opportunity to give him some ideas on things we think we can do to continue to drive the cost down on the F-35 program, so it was a great meeting.” The Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base Fort Worth was announced as a home for a squadron of F-35 jets.

Mike Pence is not the Gay Boogeyman

BY DAILY CALLER

Vice-President-elect Mike Pence’s move to a modest Northwest Washington, D.C., home until his Jan. 21 inauguration is being met with hostile liberal neighbors. Activists have mobilized to protest his move onto their street by hanging rainbow flags outside their homes to express “solidarity” with gay, lesbian, transgender, bi-sexual and queer communities. At least 10 rainbow flags now hang from homes on the street where in a few days Pence will arrive. He moved a few things into the home during Thanksgiving week, according to neighbors. As Vice-President, Pence will reside in the official vice-presidential residence at Number One Observatory Circle on the Naval Observatory grounds in northwest Washington, D.C.

operatives seeking to derail Mr. Trump’s candidacy

BY BREITBART

Operatives are seeking to derail Mr. Trump’s Presidency. On Tuesday, CNN reported that President-elect Donald Trump had been briefed by the intelligence community on memos alleging there was communication between Trump’s campaign and Russian officials. CNN suggested the existence of highly-compromising material targeting Trump which was compiled by a former British intelligence officer. The cable news network noted that while the former British intelligence officer’s work is credible, the specific allegations presented in the document have produced inconsistencies and have yet to be confirmed. Among the unverifiable claims, President-elect Trump is accused of participating in extremely graphic sexual fetishism in the Moscow Ritz-Carlton. While CNN did not publish the report, BuzzFeed did, knowing full well that the unverified memos would off a media frenzy of unsubstantiated rumors.

Jack Ma lays out plan to create 1 million jobs for Trump

BY ASIA TIMES

Libaba’s Jack Ma told incoming US president Donald Trump about his plans to create a million US jobs by bringing farmers and small businesses onto its platform to sell to Chinese consumers over the next five years, an Alibaba spokesman told Reuters. “We had a great meeting,” Trump told reporters on January 9 as he accompanied Ma back down to the lobby of his Trump Tower headquarters after the meeting. He hailed the 52-year-old self-made Chinese billionaire as a “great, great entrepreneur, one of the best in the world,” AFP reported. Trump, who made job creation a core of his election campaign, said the two would do great things together.
