BY CLEVELAND

MAKE AMERICA SAFE AGAIN DAY 1 - Steering clear of politics entirely, Cleveland's two top elected officials, both Democrats, on Monday welcomed the Republican National Convention and its delegates to the city. "I hope you take some time to get to know us, because we're really happy you're here," Jackson said. "Everything we have done to be successful, including winning the opportunity to host this convention, we've done together as a community." Budish mentioned the region's healthcare, manufacturing and white-color business sectors, and the publicity Cleveland already has received in media outlets throughout the country.
